Our Player Safeguarding Message

At Veseyans Rugby all of the adults around you think that your health, safety and wellness are very important. We respect our players and want to keep you safe.

We will do our best to protect you by providing coaching and training to learn rugby skills and we think it is important for you to know where to get help if you are worried or unhappy about something.

If you need to talk, we will listen.

Like in school, us coaches are in a position of trust for your safety and wellness.

We want you to know that if you have any worries or problems about anything that you can speak to a coach or speak to our Club Safeguarding Team who are Marc Harries, Nicole Hau and Stuart Foxall.

You know who your coaches are. The Safeguarding Team’s photos and names are in the Clubhouse on noticeboards and the TV screens and they walk around pitch side in pink hi vis vests.

Don’t keep it a secret if someone is: -

  • Saying things that upset you.

  • Sending messages to you in any way on social media, messaging or the internet which upset you.

  • Bullying you.

  • Touching you.

  • Trying to give you tablets, cigarettes, drugs or alcohol.

  • Hitting you or hurting you in any way.

  • Taking your things.
