Marc Hemingway, the chairman of local rugby club Veseyans Rugby is cycling from London to Paris this Summer to raise money for the St Giles Hospices based in Sutton Coldfield and Whittington. The ride starts from Crystal palace on the 18th May and finishes at the foot of the Eiffel tower on 21st.
Marc said, “I lost my dad to cancer last year and he spent his final weeks at St Giles and simply could not have been in a better place, the staff and whole organisation dedicate themselves to making life just a little bit easier for patients and families at the most difficult of times. I am sure that we are all aware of St Giles and the fantastic work that they do, and this is just my way of saying thank you and also providing some much needed financial support for the hospices so that they can continue to provide the care for people in our community.
