Marc Hemingway receives award from Peter Grace President of North Midlands RFU

Veseyans Rugby was awarded the coveted “North Midlands Club of the Year” award last Friday in front of 650 guests attending the club’s annual business lunch.

The lunch, now in its 11th year, is one of the biggest events of its kind in the country, with over 650 Midlands business people enjoying an excellent afternoon, including the opportunity to hear superb speakers including ex-All Blacks captain and legend Sean Fitzpatrick.

The highlight of the afternoon, however, was the club being recognised by the RFU for its superb growth and development over the last 12 months, particularly with the mini and junior section, which now boasts over 200 young players from 6 to 16 years of age.

Marc Hemingway, Veseyans Rugby chairman commented, “we are all absolutely delighted as a club to receive this award, but I am particularly pleased for our volunteer coaches and administrators, as this award is extremely well-deserved recognition for all of the hard work they have put in over the last 12 months.”
