Veseyans vs Preston Grasshoppers.
The Grasshoppers started the game well and started to pile the pressure on straight away and maintained possession well whilst Vese held out in defense. After many phases Preston found themselves only a few metres from the Veseyans try line, after a few pick and goes the ball was played to the Grasshoppers backs who crashed over the line. It took some good inventive attack from the Grasshoppers to get a scrum 5 metres from the Veseyans in-goal area which they used well to get an overlap on the blindside and score their second try, 12-0 at half-time. 7 minutes into the second half Preston got another scrum which the backs exploited well with an inside ball to the full back and he then broke through a couple of tackles and score their 3rd and final try of the match, final score 19-0 despite a very good defensive effort from Veseyans.

Veseyans vs Old Yardleians.
Vese got off the mark quickly and were immediately in the Yards 22-metre. Despite some good pressure Veseyans gave away a scrum which was cleared by Old Yardleians but only to the Veseyans full back Lewis Raybone who scored the kick return. Only a few minutes later another kick fell to Raybone who broke through tackles and scored his second of the match out wide, Vese leading at half-time. A few minutes into the second half a cross field kick was caught by the Veseyans back row Vincent, who had the pace to beat the last defender and score new the corner. Veseyans built the phases well near the middle of the park and a pick and go by the same Veseyans flanker earlier mentioned burst through the gap to score under the posts. Moments later Veseyans number 8 Oscar Ratledge sprinted through the Yards defence and beat the full-back to score under the posts for Veseyans’ final try of the match, game finished 29-0.
