Here we go again !…the new season starts on August 30th with an away cup fixture against Droitwich, with the first home league fixture of the year against Camp Hill on Saturday 13th September (3.00pm KO)
Dependant on our result against Droitwich, we may well have another home fixture on 6th September aswell,so please check the website !

Fixture lists for all teams are available on the new club website www.veseyansrugby.co.uk , plus match reports and all of the latest club news which will be updated on at least a weekly basis, so please take a look !

The intention this season is to use the website as our main form of communication with everybody connected to the club, so all future newsletters will be displayed on the website news page, also don’t forget to look out for match information, events, coach trips etc…it will all be there, so please visit regularly !

For those of you that have not been down to the club since the end of last season, you really need to come down and see all of the changes that have taken place, we will be officially opening the new development on 24th August, when Clive Richards OBE will officially open the new changing rooms, gymnasium,  Floodlights, and junior pitch.
I genuinely believe that our club will have some of the best playing, changing, and social facilities in the Midlands this season, and it would be great to see as many people down at the club as possible every weekend, to watch some great rugby, spend time with friends, and drink a few beers !

The players have been back in training since June 2nd and are looking really sharp, we have signed several excellent new players who will all strengthen the existing squad, as will all of the U18 players making the transition up to senior rugby this season.
We have also strengthened our coaching team across the board from U12S to 1st XV, Swilly Ward has assumed the role of club head coach, and Dan Hemingway has been signed as Forwards and strength and conditioning coach, I am also delighted to confirm that ex players Jason Powell and John Freeman have joined the coaching staff to work with U15s and U18s squads.

I will look forward to meeting you all at the club either on 24th August or 13th September, and am personally looking forward to another great season for Veseyans Rugby, both on and off the field.

Best wishes

Marc Hemingway
