It was a tough introduction to fixtures for the U12s, with many of the squad playing their first ever games. The highlight of the day was definitely the second third, when the scores were level at 1-1. Veseyans showed what they are capable of with improved rucking and tackling, and the introduction of Jordan Adoghe helping the team to compete with their more experienced opposition. Lewis Varley performed well throughout whilst captain Joseph Homer was a constant threat with ball in hand.

Either side of the second period, Old Yards were deserved winners with the aggregate score of the combined matches 9-1 in there favour.
