The home side started the stronger in this encounter with a concerted amount of pressure on the visitors line, but were unable to make the breakthrough. Luctonians grew into the game and following a large amount of forward pressure forced their way over the line for the first score. Again the home side forced them back with some good tactical kicking from Fly Half Rob Cooper and Full Back Tony Hayes but again could not make the pressure tell and at the end of the first half the away side scored twice more to turn around 0 – 17 up.

The V’s now playing with the Memorial Ground slope in their favour again pressed forward, but some stout defence from the away side again stopped them and they broke away for the only score of the second half close to the posts.

The home side kept going right to the end, with the pack making great headway going forward, lead by prop Lewis Graham and returning Second Row Adam Mitchell, but could not force their way over the visitors line.

A tough game for all played in challenging conditions, which the away side deserved on the back of their first half showing alone.
