Veseyans Humbled by League Leaders

Veseyans three game winning streak was brought to an end in resounding fashion by Stourbridge Lions this weekend. The V’s headed to the league leaders full of confidence after a good run of form, but the table toppers showed their class as they gave their visitors a lesson in execution.

The V’s simply didn’t look up to the task this weekend, and their hosts took advantage of this in ruthless fashion, finishing off opportunities with great style and scoring some fantastic tries.

The only potential win for Veseyans will be that the best try of the game came from them, as winger Joe Williams scored with some personal magic that will surely be the best try we will see all season. Williams rounded the first man, broke the next tackle before chipping over the full back and collecting the ball to go over from in side his own half. Unbelievable Geoff.

On to next week for Veseyans as they head back to the Memorial Ground with a league fixture against Tamworth.
