VESEYANS CONTINUE TO STUTTER

Veseyans Jekyll and Hyde start to the season continued with a 39-10 loss away at Old Salts.

Despite Salts poor start to the season, they were able to blow Veseyans away with a 24-0 lead by half time that the away side never recovered from.

For the first time this season, questions were asked of Veseyans pack and although they managed to produce ball the side as a whole made many basic errors.

A much improved second half performance looked like giving the V’s an outside chance at a bonus point, with two tries from wing Alex Morgan bring them back into the game, however, several opportunities were wasted, as has been the story on a number of occasions so far this year. A length of the field interception from the home side put the final nail in the coffin.

Veseyans face Coalville away in the cup next week and will be looking to get back on track.
