A trip to Leicestershire and a game with our county neighbours was an enjoyable morning even with the cold Northern wind blowing. The U10s had a team of 8 and to ensure everyone present got a game Coalville kindly lent us several players to keep everyone warm and moving. Coalville showed the advantages of a team who had been together for several years and with an excellent off loading game scored several tries in the 2 games played.

That said the U10s heads never dropped and they kept playing until the end with fine performances from Euan Hoptchkiss in the tackle, Luca Franklin with his dogged determination on the ground and in the ruck, Dougie Blaine with his running and carrying but player of the day, both for myself and the opposing coaches went to Malika Martin who showed great tenacity and leadership plus a determination to help make the team better……….. well done everyone.
