Veseyans Colts can look back at this game particularly the 2nd half where they played with great commitment and courage.

In the 1st half the damage was done as V’s missed so many tackles which allowed the opposition to score from the half way line or indeed in their own half. Stour’s left winger ran in three two tries at will and ran in untouched. Stour scored a 3rd and added 2 penalties by leave with a 22 – 0 lead at halt time.

V’s returned for the 2nd half with a clean set of shirts and played like a very different side and found it difficult to break the visitors defence.

The weather conditions worsened and this ruled out any expansive rugby and the V’s forwards ran hard and carried well but at times left themselves exposed at the ruck and were turned over or conceded penalties.

Stour only had the ball once in the 2nd half and added their fourth try which they converted to complete the scoring.

Veseyans need to look forward now and work hard on the remaining league fixtures starting this week with a game away to Aston Old Eds a game that they won earlier this season.
