UPDATE 02/12/2016: Course cancelled

We are pleased to confirm that we will be holding a Rugby Aware Course on Sunday, 4th December from 11am to 1pm at the Clubhouse.

The event is open to anyone involved in rugby; coaches, first aiders, officials, club volunteers and all parents.

The aim of the evenings will be to demonstrate the RFU’s commitment to player welfare and player transitions and help clubs to understand their responsibilities.

Rugby Aware is aimed at delivering a clear and definitive messages, promote our programmes and initiatives and signpost further information, resources, and training opportunities specifically around player safety and welfare issues

The Workshop is open to all involved in the game but specifically:

Club Officials, Coaches, Match Officials, Parents, Players, Volunteers

Key Themes Contents:

• Philosophy – Putting player welfare at the heart of the game
• Transition – More players, playing more matches, more often at every level
• Tackle – Safe and effective Coaching and Refereeing
• Law Changes – Update for 16-17 season
• Rugby Safe – Increasing Awareness

• Rules of Play and Age Grade information
• New Regulation 15 guidelines
• Community Game First Aid & Immediate Care Guidelines
